I wished that I could enjoy pumpkins long past Halloween. In Florida’s fall weather, a carved pumpkin quickly becomes a melted pumpkin. When I found an article to paint pumpkins I was excited and started looking for patterns and color pallets that inspired me. Check out all the images that inspired me on Pinterest here.
We headed over to our local church’s pumpkin patch to pick out some perfect and not so perfect pumpkins. After a good cleaning I wiped them with a glass cleaner to remove any oils on the surface and applied painters tape in a modern pattern. The soft pastel colors are so trendy this season and the pearl pink champagne and soft matte gray are perfect colors.

My hope is to enjoy these painted pumpkins past Halloween and into thanksgiving when I turn them into succulent garden centerpieces for our thanksgiving table. Stay tuned!
