TROPICAL TABLESCAPE

Florida holidays look a bit different with a tropical climate, am I right?  Our outdoor deck hosts the larger dinner parties in our Miami home and is surrounded by loads of plush tropical greens.   To make this casual, warm outdoor space feel a little special for this Thanksgiving holiday I plucked some greenery right from our Miami backyard to dress up the table.

Berry color hued flowers with fresh herbs and ferns from the garden for a simple table decor.

We are that busy house that loves having friends and family over for impromptu gatherings.  I love that everyone feels welcomed, as if it is their own home (or at least I hope you do).   Entertaining is one of my favorite things so I think I we are the rare home that has 20 place settings and chairs on hand for a crowd, but boy oh boy do we use it all.  One repurposed touch ont he table were the pumpkins, from the Painted Pumpkins blog    that were cut to hold some fall floral arrangments.  I must admit this was a clever last minute idea as the Thanksgiving prep took over the house.

Great stuff. Took me awhile to finally read one of your blogs, but I enjoyed it very much. We all feel like family when we’re over, so no need to worry about that. Thanks again for the great food and your wonderful hospitality.
