PRAYER PLANT

So I have recently learned that this triostar stromanthe is a member of the prayer plant. I was attracted to its vibrant red underside and green leaf. Very similar to a Hawaiin Ti, which wasn’t always a favorite of mine, but it grew on me. See what I did there. The plant folds its leaves at night and can be very high maintenance from what I have discovered. They grow in the direction of the light which explains why it always had a tilt, once I turned it a few times it evened out and flourished. I once read it was sensitive to the temperature of the water and needs distilled or spring water. Now, I am a plant lover, and plant mom and understand there is rhyme to this reason, and maybe most plants have this need to but it did seem a little “EXTRA”.
