Aquatic Gardens, Washington D.C.

I am certain that the visit to today’s park, Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens would be best in the spring and summer months. I can only imagine that the vast pools of colorful water lilies would be captivating enough for Claude Monet. I remember visiting the Monet museum in Paris and the round room displaying his most well-known landscape mural and feel as if I am stepping into the winter version of that painting. Sure, the Lilly Ponds are browned, and the water is murky but the scenery around this spot is still transitioning into it’s bright and colorful fall shades. I am awestruck by these red leaves and just had to share them with you.
