Aqua Vida, Fort Lauderdale

Have you noticed anything new on the Fort Lauderdale A1A beach strip? Perhaps, the colorful installation by Ruben Ubiera, Aqua Vida, that livens up the old pedestrian bridge that was formerly a bore snore. This little spot on Fort Lauderdales, otherwise known to the locals as “you know, where the old Shula’s on the Beach was…” needed a big dose of love.
The brightly colored Betta FIsh and HIbiscus flowers make for some fun Instagram worthy photos if you are visiting this sometimes tourist destination, staying at the Westin, or tequila drinking at Lona’s Restaurant that has now replaced the old legendary spot. I would recommend Lona’s for a happy hour sunset and tapas.
