WINTER GARDEN

I am in awe visiting Portland, Oregon in the winter with gorgeous yellow leaves scattered on the ground. Not to sound naive but living in the tropical climate of Florida you forget the trees and gardens change into wildly beautiful colors along with the temperature. It is a nice change of scenery. Walking through my dear friends garden I don’t miss the mounds of palm leave and hibiscus flowers. I went picking and plucking to make arrangements for little spots in her home. If you find yourself in Portland, soak up some of my favorites like Soft Caress Mahonia, “Bear Belly” Arctosaphylos, and Serviceberry Trees. I am also looking for the plant lover out there who may be reading this to identify some of these random picks. Comment below!
