Every time I have ever returned to the city of bats I am pulled towards the natural springs in Zilker Park. The large spring is a pool surrounded by the plush Austin grass to lounge nearby. My experience here was epic for many reasons. Thank you to my local friend who made this the first stop on my first visit to Austin, Texas. It grounded me with the mellow vibes of this picturesque town. There are lots of things to do in Austin from food to music but nothing beats this lazy day in the sun. South by Southwest isn’t far from this spot when it’s in town too.
