Here is a quick little vent about hand drafting. Call me old school, even though I am a freshly turned 30, but I really do appreciate hand drafting. I wondered today if this would be some forgotten art that will soon be omitted from textbooks and drafting classes the way they knixed handwriting. Handwriting and cursive are such fundamental basics of being a human. We learned to articulate conversations, record histroy, write storries based on our written scribbles and sketches. I feel the same for hand drafting. I understand that the Auto-Cad and digital construction docuements have advanced our design world in the ost incredible of efficient ways yet you wont feel what the space feels like on a screen. Maybe there are those people who can see a blue print on the black screen with neon lines and understand the size and conceptualize the scale, however I am not. I believe there is a real art to designing and space planning when you can slide the ruler and the pencil. So call me old fashioned. What do you think?
